Abstract:
A manually operable mechanism for mechanically and electrically connecting parts of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) comprises a first engaging means (20) associated with a first part of the UAV including at least one first electrical contact or connector (22); a second engaging means (30) associated with a second part of the UAV including at least one second electrical contact or connector (32); said first engaging means (20) and said second engaging means (30) being manually engageable to connect said first and second parts of the UAV together and manually releasable to disconnect said first and second parts of the UAV; wherein the at least one first electrical contact or connector is brought into electrical contact or connection with said at least one second electrical contact or connector when the first and second engaging means are manually engaged to mechanically connect the first and second parts of the UAV together. An unmanned vehicle comprising the described manually operable mechanism is also disclosed.
