Abstract:
A manufacturing method of a single domain of a rare earth based high critical temperature superconducting oxide, to be used as a superconductor, having different electromagnetic properties in a privileged plane (ab) and in a privileged direction (c) , comprising the steps of manufacturing an intermediate part (20) from grains or precursors of the rare earth oxide, said part comprising openings (22), said openings defining in the intermediate part material portions having, in the privileged plane, a thickness smaller than a predetermined thickness; manufacturing the single domain of the rare earth oxide from the intermediate part; and oxygenating the single domain to increase the oxygen rate of the rare earth oxide.
