A device for placing and adhering sheet-shaped members (15) with four corners (15c) so as to span between a pair of continuous sheets (20a, 24a), wherein the sheet-shaped members (15) are glued and transferred to the pair of continuous sheets (20a, 24a) by cooperatively operating holding members (51), which hold the sheet-shaped members (15) on a holding surface (51s) and circle in a circling track, with a roller member (82) on which the holding members (51) are disposed at a specified position (Pout). The respective portions of the holding surfaces (51s) that correspond to the four corners (15c) of the sheet-shaped members (15) are configured as curved surface regions that conform to the arc-shaped track traced by the respective portions when passing through the specified position (Pout). The track traced by at least a portion of the areas of the holding surfaces (51s) that are located between two curved surface regions, which are adjacent in the direction of the circling track, when the portion passes through the specified position (Pout) is located to the inside, in the radial direction of the circling track, of the arc-shaped tracks traced by the two curved surface regions when said regions pass through the specified position (Pout).
