Abstract:
Provided are a manufacturing facility and a manufacturing method for a thick steel plate capable of precisely controlling a first-stage rapid cooling and a second-stage rapid cooling when a thick steel plate is rapidly cooled in two stages. In a manufacturing facility (1) for a thick steel plate, a cooling apparatus (3) comprises a rapid cooling area (4) having a first rapid cooling zone (5) where a thick steel plate (S) extracted from a heating furnace (2) is rapidly cooled, an air cooling zone (6) where the thick steel plate (S) is air-cooled, and a second rapid cooling zone (7) where the air-cooled thick steel plate (S) is rapidly cooled. In the rapid cooling area (4), radiation thermometers (11a) and (11b) arranged at the upper side and/or lower side of the thick steel plate (S) are installed side by side along the conveying direction of the thick steel plate (S) in at least one zone including the air cooling zone (6). The radiation thermometers (11a) and (11b) installed in the air cooling zone (6) measure the temperature of the upper surface and/or lower surface of the thick steel plate (S).
