Abstract:
In the present invention, in a step for intermittently applying an adhesive resin, an adhesive resin carrier roller is immersed in an uncured adhesive resin while being rotated so as to retain the adhesive resin in the gap, the adhesive resin carrier roller being formed by alternately laminating a disc-shaped fiber roller installed in a pass line and a disc-shaped partition plate which has a larger diameter than the fiber roller and which has a gap for retaining the adhesive resin in a portion in the circumferential direction near a peripheral edge. Subsequently, the partition plate is sandwiched between traveling optical fiber core-wires to bring the optical fiber core-wires into contact with the partition plate, and then the adhesive resin retained in the gap is applied intermittently to the optical fiber core-wires in the lengthwise direction.
