Provided are a manufacturing method for a display substrate, the display substrate, and a display device. The display substrate comprises a substrate (1) and also comprises a first insulating graphic layer (3), a first metal graphic layer (5 and 6), a second insulating graphic layer (7), and a second metal graphic layer (8) sequentially stacked on the substrate. The first insulating graphic layer and the second insulating graphic layer respectively are provided as alternately split planar structures. The first metal graphic layer and the second metal graphic layer are at least partly connected to each other. The display substrate and the manufacturing method corresponding thereto, by splitting a gate insulating layer and a passivation layer causing a contraction of a glass substrate, membrane deformation stress brought forth by the process is released at the split edge, thus fundamentally reducing glass substrate deformation brought forth by membrane deformation, enhancing the margin for opposite fitting, and reducing failures such as color crossing caused by an excessive opposite fitting deviation.
