Abstract:

Provided is a manufacturing method including: a die forging step for obtaining a forged product (30) formed in the shape of a crank shaft and having burr (B); and burrs eliminating step for eliminating burrs (B) from the forged product (30) with the forged product (30) being held between a pair of holding dies (10). All or some of a plurality of rough crank arm parts (A') of the forged product (30) are provided with a first excess thick part (Aaa) that protrudes from the outer circumference of at least either of two side parts (Aa', Ab') near a rough pin part (P'). When the forged product (30) is held by the holding dies (10), the first excess thick part (Aaa) is deformed by the holding dies (10) so as to protrude toward a rough journal part.
