Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a high-purity high-purity glycerol derivative-modified silicone in a liquid state, the method comprising: a step in which an organic wax is added to a mixture containing a glycerol derivative-modified silicone and impurities, said organic wax having an affinity to said impurities and a higher melting point than the glycerol derivative-modified silicone, and then mixed by heating and melting, after which the impurities are taken into the organic wax; a step in which the organic wax is cooled to obtain solidified organic wax; and a step in which the glycerol derivative-modified silicone and the solidified organic wax undergo solid-liquid separation. Thus, the present invention enables the provision of a method useful for stably manufacturing a high-purity glycerol derivative-modified silicone on a commercial scale.
