Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a manufacturing method for hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) or fluoroolefin (FO), in which no high temperature or no catalyst is required in the process for synthesizing a desired compound, and in which the selectivity for the desired compound is high. Specifically, the present disclosure provides a manufacturing method for hydrofluoroolefin or fluoroolefin having 2, 3 or 4 carbons, the method being characterized in that at least one raw material compound selected from the group consisting of hydrofluorocarbon having 1 or 2 carbons and hydrofluoroolefin A having 2 or 3 carbons is irradiated with ionization radiation and/or an ultraviolet ray having a wavelength of 300 nm or shorter (note that if the raw material compound is the hydrofluoroolefin A, the hydrofluoroolefin obtained will be different from the hydrofluoroolefin A).
