Abstract:
Provided is a manufacturing method for an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine which can expand degree of freedom of modification with regard to configuring a coil assembly. By way of a manufacturing method for an ignition coil according to the present embodiment, a high-pressure impregnated body (100), in which the perimeter of a secondary coil (120) has been impregnated with dielectric resin, is created, and subsequently, remaining components (non-high-pressure unit components) of the coil assembly are assembled, and subsequently, the perimeter of the non-high-pressure unit components is impregnated with the dielectric resin. Therefore, even subsequent to completion of the impregnation step for the secondary coil (120), suitable replacement is possible with regard to other configuration components for the coil assembly, and fine design modifications can be accommodated.
