Abstract:
Provided is a partition board apparatus, wherein a light guide plate can be made to act as a translucent member such as a window plate, and can also be made to act as a light shielding member while being used as a surface light source with a prescribed pattern. The partition board apparatus has: a light guide plate that has formed thereon a plurality of recess pattern traces formed on one main face and the other main face thereof, said plurality of recess pattern traces formed by pressing a matrix-formed processing dots provided on an ultrasonic processing horn on a main face of the light guide plate while partially melting the light guide plate with ultrasonic vibration; and a light source unit that generates diffuse light with the recess pattern traces by making light enter the light guide plate from a side face thereof. The light guide plate acts as a translucent member when light from the light source unit does not enter, and acts as a light shielding member comprised of a surface light source having a prescribed pattern formed by the recess pattern traces when light from the light source unit enters.
