Abstract:
Provided is a manufacturing method for a polarizing plate in which a transparent film is laminated to one of both surfaces of a polarizing film. The method includes: an adhesive coating step in which an active energy ray-curable adhesive is coated on one surface of the transparent film, or one or both surfaces of the polarizing film; a laminating step in which a layered body, which is formed by layering the transparent film on one or both surfaces of the polarizing film with the adhesive therebetween, is sandwiched between a pair of laminating rolls that rotate in the conveyance direction, and in such a state at least one of the laminating rolls is pressed in the direction of the other laminating roll so as to laminate the transparent film and the polarizing film; and an active energy ray irradiation step in which the layered body is irradiated by an active energy ray to cure the adhesive. At least one roll of the pair of laminating rolls is made from metal, and the static friction coefficient between the metal roll and the film in contact with the metal roll is 0.10-0.58.
