Abstract:
The surface layer of a niobium-containing anode body is formed into a dielectric layer by means of a chemical treatment method that involves a process (I) for the electrolytic formation of the niobium-containing anode body in a chemical solution comprising nitric acid and phosphoric acid in a temperature range from 40°C to the boiling point of the chemical solution, a process (II) for heating said electrolytically formed anode body in a temperature range from 150°C to 300°C, and a process (III) for the electrolytic formation of the aforementioned heated anode body in the chemical solution comprising nitric acid and phosphoric acid in a temperature range from 40°C to the boiling point of the chemical solution. A solid electrolytic capacitor element is obtained by forming a cathode upon said dielectric layer, and a solid electrolytic capacitor is obtained by covering said element.
