Abstract:
Provided is a manufacturing method for a superconducting acceleration cavity, wherein the superconducting acceleration cavity can be manufactured at low cost and with high quality, and with a compact device configuration. The manufacturing method for the superconducting acceleration cavity (1) manufactures the superconducting acceleration cavity (1) by having a plurality of half-cells (5), with opening sections at both ends in the axial direction (L), arranged in the axial direction, and by having the mutual opening sections joined together by welding. The joining of the half-cells (5) is conducted by welding using laser rays, from inside the superconducting acceleration cavity (1), which is made to have a vacuum atmosphere.
