A map display/control device comprising a map display/control unit for controlling a display device based on map displaying data so as to display on a specified scale a map on the display device, a facility retrieval unit for retrieving a facility matching a specific condition based on facility data having data on respective facilities displayed on a map, and a facility display/control unit for controlling the display device so as to list-display on the display device facility-related information retrieved by the facility retrieval unit on a specified-number-of-facilities basis, wherein the map display/control unit, when the facility display/control unit controls so as to list-display information on a specified number of facilities, computes the scale of the entire map so as to be able to display on the display device the entire map covering an extent of including all the positions of a specified number of list-displayed facilities, and controls the display device so as to display on the display device the entire map based on the computed scale.
