Abstract:
If search conditions are entered, a target road name corresponding to the location that is the target of the search is acquired (S300); character data in a plurality of display map data sets (21) corresponding to a plurality of scales is searched (S310); and the scale of the display map data set that includes the target road name in the character data is acquired (S320: YES, S330). Furthermore, map drawing processing is carried out at this scale (S340). In other words, when a map that includes the location that is the target of the search is drawn, character data in the plurality of display map data sets is searched in advance, and the display map data set for the scale with which the target road name is included in the character data is used such that the target road name corresponding to the location that is the target of the search is displayed.
