Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a technology capable of, before a user enters some region, notifying the user of information corresponding to the region. [Solution] A map display system is configured that comprises: a present location acquisition unit that acquires the present location of a vehicle; a scheduled traveling route acquisition unit that acquires a scheduled traveling route of the vehicle; a map information acquisition unit that acquires map information; an entry detection unit that, on the basis of the present location and the map information, detects an entry of the vehicle into a first region divided by first classification; and a notification unit that when the entry of the vehicle into the first region is detected, notifies information relating to a second region in which the scheduled traveling route is present among regions divided by second classification for subdividing the first region.
