Abstract:
[Problem] To allow map data that is conducive to identifying three-dimensional positions to be easily generated. [Solution] Provided is a map generating device 100, comprising: an identification unit 110 which, using photographic images which include two or more markers which are a portion of a plurality of markers which are provided in different locations and for which identification information is recorded which identifies each of the markers, identifies coordinate information which three-dimensionally represents the relative location of the two or more markers, and the respective identification information of the two or more markers; and a generating unit 120 which, on the basis of the identified coordinate information and identification information, generates map data which associates the locations of the plurality of markers with the identification information thereof. The identification unit 110 identifies the coordinate information and identification information from each of the plurality of photographic images which each include two or more of the markers and in which all of the plurality of markers are included in at least one of the photographic images. The generating unit 120 transforms the coordinate information which is respectively identified from the plurality of photographic images into values of a common coordinate system with a specific location as a reference, and generates the map data.
