Abstract:
This map generation device comprises: an information acquisition unit that acquires positional information of a specified vehicle and positional information of surrounding vehicles located around the specified vehicle from vehicle-mounted devices respectively disposed in the specified vehicle and the surrounding vehicles; a distance calculation unit that, on the basis of the positional information of the specified vehicle and the positional information of the surrounding vehicles, calculates inter-vehicle distances between the specified vehicle and the surrounding vehicles; an integration range setting unit that, on the basis of the calculation results of the inter-vehicle distances and the detection range of the specified vehicle, sets an integration range to be integrated into a map; and a map integration unit that integrates positional information of surrounding objects acquired from the vehicle-mounted devices in the integration range into the map.
