Abstract:
A purpose of the present invention is to provide a map information update system and a server device for same with which it is possible to prevent erroneous updates of map information that could cause a decrease in accuracy and improve the accuracy of the map information. This map information update system 1 includes a computation processing device 31 for updating the map information on the basis of external information in which the surrounding environment of a vehicle 2 is recognized. The computation processing device 31 comprises a first setting unit 311 for setting the reliability of the external information, a second setting unit 312 for setting the reliability of the map information, and an update unit 313 for updating the map information on the basis of of the reliability of the external information and the reliability of the map information.
