Abstract:
Provided is a map matching device that comprises: a candidate spot extraction unit (201) that extracts candidate spots onto a link on the basis of position measurement points; a movement cost determination unit (202) that determines the movement cost of a combination of links connecting one of a plurality of first candidate spots extracted on the basis of one position measurement point and one of a plurality of second candidate spots extracted on the basis of another position measurement point, the movement cost being determined separately for each combination of a first candidate spot and a second candidate spot; a movement possibility judgment unit (204) that judges, for each combination of first and second candidate spots, whether a moving body can move from a first candidate spot to a second candidate spot, on the basis of the movement cost; and a matching spot determination unit (206) that determines, as the position of the moving body on the map, one of the candidate spots included in a combination for which movement was determined to be possible by the movement possibility judgment unit.
