Abstract:
This marine liquefied-gas tank is a pressure container that is symmetrical about the vertical central axis, and includes an upper tank body having an opening facing downward and a lower tank body having an opening facing upward. The upper tank body and/or the lower tank body has a shape that constitutes a segment of a true sphere, and comprises: a truly spherical section extending from the vertical central axis; and a non-truly spherical section which is formed around the truly spherical section, and which has a minimum curvature radius part having the smallest curvature radius between a center-side edge and a peripheral-side edge in a vertical cross-section passing the vertical central axis, and which is shaped such that the curvature radius continuously decreases from the center-side edge toward the minimum curvature radius part, whereas the curvature radius continuously increases from the minimum curvature radius part toward the peripheral-side edge, wherein the truly spherical section and the non-truly spherical section are formed so as to be smoothly contiguous with each other.
