Title:
MARKER FOR DIAGNOSING CELLULAR SENESCENCE AND USES THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/204025
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a marker for diagnosing cellular senescence and uses thereof. A PAPSS2 gene is capable of performing the role of the marker for diagnosing cellular senescence and thus can be used in a method for diagnosing aging cells, a method for screening a composition for inducing cellular senescence, and a method for screening a composition for suppressing cellular senescence, among others. Also, senescence of non-tumor cells can be induced when the PAPSS2 gene is suppressed in the non-tumor cells.
