Abstract:
A marking device (20) subjects a long object (10) to a marking process. The marking device (20) is provided with: a driving source (21); and a marking unit (22) that performs a circular motion in accordance with a driving force supplied from the driving source (21). The long object (10) during the process of being conveyed is given a mark in accordance with the circular motion of the marking unit (22). The degree to which the marking unit (22) interferes with the conveying of the long object (10) is reduced, thereby facilitating an increase in the speed at which the long object (10) is conveyed.
