Abstract:
The invention provides a method for marking a product (1) of substantially animal origin, in particular a slaughter product (1), in which method a readable two-dimensional code (2) is applied to the product (1). The invention also provides a device for marking a product of substantially animal origin, in particular a slaughter product, comprising a material-removal unit (10, 20) for removing material in order to apply a readable two-dimensional code (2) to a surface of the product.
