Abstract:
A primary coating which is a water-soluble coating is applied to an end surface of each of a plurality of steel bars (100) that are in different temperature zones, and then the end surface of each steel bar (100) is subjected to induction heating. After drying the primary coating in this way, the end surface of each steel bar (100) is irradiated with a laser beam to cause a portion of the primary coating to be colored and thereby perform marking.
