Abstract:
This martensite-based stainless steel material has a compositional makeup which includes, in mass basis, 0.30-0.60% of C, 0.05-1.00% of Si, 0.05-1.50% of Mn, 0.040% or less of P, 0.030% or less of S, 13.0-18.0% of Cr, 0.01-0.30% of Ni, 0.01-1.00% of Mo, 0.030% or less of Al, 0.010-0.350% of N, 0.0001-0.0030% of Ca, and 0.001-0.010% of O, and in which 2.5C+N equals 1.10% or more and the remaining portion is Fe and impurities. In this martensite-based stainless steel material, the average particle diameter of carbides is 0.50 μm or less. Further, carbides having a size equal to or more than 10 μm are included in an amount of 0.20 particles/cm2 or less.
