Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a mascara applicator that can apply a mascara liquid easily from the base of the eyelid within the mucous membrane near the nose side of the eyelid. [Solution] A mascara applicator 10 comprises a holder part 11 that is held by the fingers, a shaft part 12 that extends uniaxially from the holder part 11, and an applicator part 13 provided on the tip of the shaft part 12, in which the applicator part 13 includes a core 14 extending from the tip of the shaft part 12 and curved in an arc shape, and a large number of brush bristles 15 disposed over the entirety of the curved core 14 so as to project out over substantially the entire periphery, wherein the tip of the core 14 coincides with the extension of the shaft part 12, and a three-dimensional shape composed of the ends of the large number of brush bristles 15 projecting out across substantially the entire periphery on the tip side of the core 14 is a spindle shape tapering toward the tip of the core 14.
