Abstract:
This mask 100 comprises: a mask body part 1, which is formed from a sheet material and which covers a target portion of the face of a wearer; and a right ear hook 2 and a left ear hook 3 for latching the mask body part 1 onto the ears of the wearer, wherein: the mask body part 1 is provided with a plurality of pleats that can be spread vertically, and a right end part elastic member 15 and a left end part elastic member 16 that are formed by a material having elasticity and are respectively provided so as to extend vertically in the vicinity of the left and right end parts of the mask body part 1; the right end part elastic member 15 and the left end part elastic member 16 are connected, at a plurality of connection parts formed at prescribed intervals in the vertical direction, to the sheet material forming the mask body part 1; and the plurality of pleats are formed at positions between the connection parts with respect to the vertical direction. This makes it possible to provide a mask, and a method for manufacturing a mask, with which the manufacturing efficiency can be improved.
