Abstract:
This mass spectrometer is equipped with: a cartridge (104B) into which a specimen is introduced and which can be attached to and detached from the main body; a lower heater (110) which thermally gasifies the specimen to generate a specimen gas; an ion source which ionizes the specimen gas; and a mass analysis part which separates the ionized specimen gas. The interior of the ion source is depressurized by differential evacuation from the mass analysis part. The cartridge (104B) has spaces (S10, S11) which communicate with a specimen-gas pipeline and through which the specimen gas ascends.
