Abstract:
The present invention relates to electron beam injection control of a mass spectrometer. A mass spectrometer of the present invention comprises: a reference waveform generator for generating a reference waveform signal having a square wave or sine wave form; a waveform generator for generating a synchronization signal which is synchronized with the reference waveform signal; an RF module for generating an RF voltage signal from the reference waveform signal and applying an RF voltage signal to an RF electrode inside an ion trap; an electron beam generator for controlling the operation of an ultraviolet (UV) diode used for generating an electron beam to be injected inside the ion trap according to a control signal to be inputted; and a control circuit for generating the control signal using a square wave signal.
