Abstract:
Provided is a mass spectrometer that further enhances ion transmission efficiency. This mass spectrometer passes ions generated in an ion source 101 through a vacuum chamber provided with an electrode and transfers the ions to a detector 106. The vacuum chamber includes a first vacuum chamber 107 and a second vacuum chamber 108 that are connected to each other through a pore 104. An air flow including ions introduced from the ion source 101 to the first vacuum chamber 107 is divided into an air flow 704 and an ion flow 703 by means of an ion guide 103 in the first vacuum chamber 107. The first vacuum chamber 107 is provided with a rectifying plate 113 that reduces mixing of the divided air flow 704 and ion flow 703.
