Title:
MASS SPECTROMETRY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/114151
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In a tandem mass spectrometry system comprising a three-stage QMS, sensitivity for daughter ions is decreased, due to losses of daughter ions by destabilization or due to a decrease in daughter ion generation efficiency, thus an important problem to be solved is achieving an increase in daughter ion sensitivity. In order to solve the above problem, the present invention provides a mass spectrometry system equipped with means whereby the parent ion q value is lowered and, moreover, the parent ion fundamental vibration frequency is not lowered. The means of the present invention widens the mass number range of the daughter ions that can be transmitted stably, and in addition, causes the parent ion vibration frequency to become approximately equivalent to that of a first stage QMS, allowing a sustainable effect to be anticipated, in which the daughter ion generation efficiency does not decrease.
