Provided is a chair-type massage machine which, while being compact and having a simple configuration, is capable of enabling the protrusion amount of treatment elements to be reliably adjusted. This massage mechanism (4) is provided with: massage members (7) provided with treatment elements; a rotational drive shaft (22) for transmitting rotational drive force to the massage members (7); a first drive unit for generating a rubbing massage motion; a second drive unit for generating a tapping massage motion; link members (42) which couple the second drive unit and base ends of the massage members (7); and a protrusion amount adjustment mechanism (47) which rotates the base ends of the massage members (7) around the rotational drive shaft (22) to change the protrusion amount of the treatment elements in the front-rear direction. The protrusion amount adjustment mechanism (47) enables the protrusion amount of the treatment elements in the front-rear direction to be adjusted by transmitting the rotational drive force of the rotational drive shaft (22) generated by the first drive unit, to move the second drive unit in the vertical direction, and rotate the base-end sides of the massage members (7) around the rotational drive shaft (22).
