Abstract:
Provided are a master and standby pairing method and apparatus for a network element. The method comprises: when detecting power-on information of a network function entity, a context-awareness function entity taking the network function entity as a master network function entity to be paired; the context-awareness function entity searching, according to running information reported by the master network function entity, a pre-set network function entity information database for a standby network function entity matching the running information of the master network function entity; and the context-awareness function entity creating pairing information according to the master network function entity and the standby network function entity, and sending the pairing information to the master network function entity.
