Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mat having the function of repelling pest insects, which can prevent a user from being bitten by mosquitoes and thus allow the user to rest comfortably while using the mat during the summer season by preventing pest insects, in particular mosquitoes and the like, from gaining access through the periphery of the mat which is typically spread out and used outdoors. The mat according to the present invention is manufactured by forming protrusions (11) on the surfaces of plate-like foamed products (10), and vertically and horizontally forming folded lines (12) in a concavo-convex shape so as to enable the plate-like foamed products (10) on which the protrusions (11) have been formed to be folded so as to be nested within one another, wherein the foamed products are obtained by preparing a mixture consisting of 50-74.5 wt % of a foaming agent master batch, 20-36 wt % of a foaming resin, 0.5-4 wt % of a foaming control agent, and 5-10 wt % of a cross-linking master batch, then mixing 3-15 wt % of an insect repellant into the mixture with respect to the total amount of the mixture, and then foaming the resulting mixture.
