Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a matching system that efficiently matches content viewed/listened to by a user to the user's terminal. According to an embodiment, a matching system for matching content to a terminal is provided with a storage unit, a first transmission processing unit, a first reception processing unit, a content identification unit, and a matching unit. The storage unit stores a start date and time for content including sound. The first transmission processing unit transmits a notification to a terminal with a timing based on the start date and time so as to cause the terminal to start to acquire sound coming from outside of the terminal. The first reception processing unit then receives, from the terminal, sound information indicating an external sound. The content identification unit identifies content on the basis of the sound information. The matching unit associates the identified content with the terminal.
