Abstract:
A material conveying method and device, which are applied to an unloading device comprising a robot (102) and a conveyor (101), the robot (102) comprising at least one goods pick-and-place apparatus (1023) and at least two first goods storage layers (1024), and the conveyor (101) comprising a goods-placing transfer layer (1011) and a goods-picking transfer layer (1012) which are arranged in parallel one above the other. The method comprises: controlling a goods pick-and-place apparatus to move in a direction perpendicular to a goods-placing transfer layer and a goods-picking transfer layer; and controlling, when there is a material, obtained from the goods-picking transfer layer, on the goods pick-and-place apparatus, the goods pick-and-place apparatus to place the material into an idle goods storage layer that the goods pick-and-place apparatus first arrives at during the movement process. In this way, the moving distance of the goods pick-and-place apparatus can be reduced.
