Abstract:

A material for organic electroluminescence (EL) device, comprising a compound of specified structure having a nitrogenous ring. Further, there is provided an organic EL device comprising a negative electrode and a positive electrode and, interposed therebetween, one or two or more organic thin-film layers including at least a light emitting layer, wherein at least one of the organic thin-film layers contains the above material for organic EL device. Thus, there become available a material for organic EL device capable of realizing high luminous efficiency and thermostability and prolonged service life and further an organic EL device utilizing the material.
