Abstract:
[Abstract] [Problem] To provide a device and a method for sampling a material sample in order to assess liquefaction of soil, without the need for hypothetical conditions or calculations. [Solution] The device is constituted by a casing (1), a holding sleeve (2) situated in the interior thereof, for holding a material sample (3), and a vibrator for imparting vibration to the material sample (3). Once the casing (1) has been inserted into the ground, and the material sample (3) of the soil is held within the sleeve (2), the vibrator applies vibrational acceleration equivalent to that of an earthquake.
