Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a polymer which is suitable for use as a material for a soft contact lens that can improve anti-glare properties and contrast. This polymer is obtained by copolymerizing an organic colorant having the ability to absorb light in the yellow region and one or more polymerizable monomers. The polymerizable monomers include one or more types selected from among acrylamide-based monomers and vinyl-based monomers. The polymerizable monomers also include a silicon-containing monomer.
