Abstract:
A make-before-break (MBB) implementation method comprises: during a predetermined waiting time period for receiving an MBB notification message after a node detects a change of an upstream node in an optimal route from itself to a root node, the node detects disconnection of a label distribution protocol (LDP) session between itself and an upstream node in a new optimal route, and then if both a reconnection of the LDP session between itself and the upstream node in the new optimal route and an MBB negotiation success with the upstream node in the new optimal route are detected by the node, the node sends to the upstream node in the new optimal route label mapping information carrying an MBB tag, and resets the predetermined time period. The above method prevents the traffic from being interrupted during the predetermined waiting time period for receiving an MBB notification message.
