Abstract:
The present invention relates to an MDPS worm gear, comprising: a cylindrical boss made of a predetermined material; a gear unit having teeth; and a plastic hub formed by injecting a resin between the boss and the gear unit. The gear unit has an inner surface with an extending portion for increasing a contact area between the gear unit and the plastic hub. A plurality of inwardly protruding protrusions are formed at the inner surface of the gear unit, which, when the plastic hub is seen from the front, contact the extending portion, or a joint groove is formed into an annular ring shape at both ends of the boss such that the joint groove has a groove side which is partially obscured in the cross sectional side view. Thus, axial deviation and radial deviation and slippage in a rotational direction between the gear unit and the plastic hub and between the plastic hub and the boss can be prevented.
