Abstract:
A column meaning candidate selection means 303 selects candidates for the meaning of a column which is a subject for inference of meaning thereof. For each of the candidates for the meaning selected by the column meaning candidate selection means 303, a column similarity computation means 304 computes a score indicating the similarity between the selected candidate for the meaning and the meaning of each column, other than the column being the subject for the inference of the meaning thereof, which is included in a table. Using the scores computed by the column similarity computation means 304, a column meaning identification means 305 identifies the meaning of the column being the subject for the inference of the meaning thereof from among the candidates for the meaning of said column.
