Description:
PATENT DESCRIPTION

Meaning of Names and Ringback Tones Audio System

Technical Field

The present invention relates to information telecommunication industry and in particular to ringback tones.

Background Art The techniques of using a ringback tone in advertsing music are already in the market. What is not available is use of ringback tones in explaining and promoting circumstances of the subscriber.

A ringback tone (or ringing tone) is an audible indication that is heard on the telephone line by the caller while the phone they are calling is being rung. It is normally a repeated tone, designed to assure the calling party that the called party's line is ringing, although the ring-back tone may be out of sync with the ringing signal.

The ringback tone (or "RBT") is in most cases generated in the distant switch and transmitted in-band. The distant switch also sends a message out band indicating to the rest of the following network that the phone is ringing. Under strict implementation of the signaling SS7 in the past, and today under Camel it may be the closest switch to the caller generating the RingBack tone. In most public phone networks today the ringback tone is not generated in the handset or by the local switch, as customized tones or voice announcements may be generated by the distant switch in place of a ringing signal. Summary of Invention

The present invention teaches a method using the explanatory and promotional situations of a subscriber as a ringback tones system. In one embodiment, the invention describes a system and method for providing dynamically generated information to a caller during the ringing state of a telephone call. In one example, audio ring back tone may be used in a speech technology and caller ID services to provide personalized audio messages. These messages may be generated in real time and may include information that may be useful to the caller, such as up-to-date status of the subscriber.

In another embodiment, the system comprises a centrally managed server, computing platform technology, mobile cell phone, selected ringback tone voice- overs, mobile phone service provider and subscribers. Also disclosed is a method of describing situations and circumstances of callers involving steps of; registering with ring back tone service provider, placing caller's profile in a database, calling desired recipient, playing the promotional and explanatory tones from audio file database. In one embodiment, once a subscriber subscribes to the systems on ringback tones platform, callers who call him are played the audio file informing them of their situation, status and activities of the name of the subscriber they are calling as they wait for the subscriber to pick his call. The system provides the promotional and explanatory messages of the subscriber by voicing it in a studio with background music making an audio file which is then offered to mobile network operators as Ringback Tones (RBT) for its subscribers.

Brief Description of the Diagrams

Figure 1: Illustrates a flow-chart involved in the teachings of the invention Detailed Description of the Invention

The present invention uses the promotional and explanatory situations and circumstances of the subscriber as ringback tones system. In the one embodiment, the invention describes a system and method for providing dynamically generated information to a caller during the ringing state of a telephone call. In one example, audio ring back tone is generated when the caller types (2) the number of the caller and presses ok. As the phone starts ringing (3), the computing platform picks the signal at the central server (4) and relays the subscribed message of the subscriber (5). As soon as the cell phone is picked at stage (6) the ringback tone stops (7).

The ringback tone may be used in a speech technology and caller ID services to provide personalized audio messages. These messages may be generated in real time and may include information that may be useful to the caller, such as up-to- date situation and/or activity of the subscriber (5).

Industrial Application

People like personalized information about themselves. For instance, when a person is relaxing in the house watching movies, he would like his callers to receive a ringback tone such as " Peter is now relaxing in his house in South B estate watching the Titanic Movie". Or " John is at the moment inside NPC Church morning worship".

Most people have started associating their situations with certain meanings to their callers. Therefore, the present invention will find its place in social and economic setting of most communities. It is therefore applicable in both social and commerce.
