Title:
MEASUREMENT OF ANTI-TREPONEMA PALLIDUM BODY FLUID ANTIBODY USING TREPONEMA PALLIDUM BACTERIUM SURFACE ANTIGEN MIXTURE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/259719
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a means of detecting infection with Treponema pallidum bacterium at a higher sensitivity. The present inventor found that, in the measurement of anti-T. pallidum antibody in a body fluid specimen by an immunoassay method, the assay sensitivity is obviously increased at a practical level, beyond the level observed using native T. pallidum bacterium antigen, by using a mixture of TpN47 antigen derived from the silk thread or silk gland of a recombinant silkworm, said antigen being an artificial surface antigen of T. pallidum bacterium, and genetically modified TpN15-TpN17 fusion antigen, said antigen also being an artificial surface antigen of T. pallidum bacterium.
