A measurement method and apparatus for a magnetic encoder, and a magnetic encoder. The measurement method comprises: when a power supply signal of a main power source (3) is received, starting a normal working mode (S11); receiving and acquiring a magnetic encoding signal of a magnetic sensor (1) (S12); calculating, according to the magnetic encoding signal, the number of rotation turns and the absolute position of a magnet (S13); when the power supply signal of the main power source (3) is cut off and a power supply signal of a backup battery (4) is received, starting a backup working mode (S14); monitoring the change amount of the magnetic encoding signal in real time (S15); and if the change amount of the magnetic encoding signal exceeds a preset change amount, acquiring the magnetic encoding signal, and calculating the number of rotation turns of the magnet according to the magnetic encoding signal (S16). The backup battery (4) is provided in the magnetic encoder, and when the main power source (3) is powered off, multi-turn measurement of the encoder is realized, and the energy consumption in a backup working state is reduced to the maximum extent, so as to increase the duration during which the backup battery (4) is available.
