Provided is a measurement method of a degradation/alteration degree of lubricant oil for determining dielectric constants or capacitances at two or more different frequencies and judging the degradation/alteration state of the lubricant oil on the basis of the values of the dielectric constants or the capacitances. Out of the two or more frequencies, one frequency (H1) is set to fall within the range of 1 to 100 Hz, and another frequency (H2) is set to be higher than the frequency (H1) and equal to or lower than 10,000 Hz, with the result that it is possible to easily and accurately measure the degradation/alteration degree of the lubricant oil and to predict a degradation/alteration mechanism thereof. Also provided is a measurement device of the degradation/alteration degree of the lubricant oil.
