Abstract:
Provided are a measurement reporting method and apparatus. The method comprises: receiving a downlink reference signal from a network device; measuring the downlink reference signal to obtain a measurement result; and in a random access request message or a random access message 3, sending the measurement result to the network device. The terminal device can report a measurement result of a reference signal to the network device during a random access process. Compared with the prior art, the method and the apparatus can effectively reduce the delay for the terminal device to report the measurement result of the reference signal, thereby reducing the communication delay.
