Abstract:
A measuring apparatus 10 is provided with: a vacuum nozzle 6 for vacuum holding an electronic component 4; a mark 50 formed on a lateral surface of the vacuum nozzle 6; and an image capturing device for capturing an image of the electronic component 4 and the vacuum nozzle 6 from the side of the vacuum nozzle 6 vacuum holding the electronic component 4. A control device identifies the positions of the mark 50 and a lower end section 46 of the electronic component 4 on an image 200 of the electronic component 4 and the vacuum nozzle 6 that is captured by the image capturing device while an upper end section 45 of the electronic component 4 is vacuum held on a lower end section 62 of the vacuum nozzle 6 and calculates a distance x between the upper end section 45 and the lower end section 46 of the electronic component 4 on the basis of a distance b between the identified mark 50 and the lower end section 46 of the electronic component 4 and a distance a, which is pre-stored in a memory, between the mark 50 and the lower end section 62 of the vacuum nozzle 6.
